Warning Issued After Pair Of Overdose Deaths Linked To Bad Batch Of Heroin

Two overdose deaths in Bridgeport have led Police Chief Armando Perez to issue a warning to the community regarding a deadly batch of heroin circulating on the streets.

Perez made the announcement on Monday, Feb. 11 following the two deaths in the Hollow section of the city over the past several days.

White envelopes marked with a red skull and the words “Head Games” have been found next to multiple victims, the chief said. 

On Wednesday, Feb. 6, a 57-year-old woman was found dead on Coleman Street next to these envelopes. On Monday, Feb. 11, a 37-year-old man was found dead on Washington Avenue with similar envelopes in his vicinity.

"The Bridgeport Police Department is issuing a warning regarding this heroin," the chief said. "Bridgeport detectives are actively working on these cases in conjunction with the DEA."
